Having a clothing store, we're always searching for the perfect jean for all of you curvacious ladies but so far to no avail. I've definitely had success with Lane Bryant and apparently now Reitmans has a plus-size line with different lengths and styles but I haven't checked that out yet. I'll keep you all posted!

Lane Bryant's jeans (the stores, not the catalogue ones) ROCK! It's definitely worth the trip, and it's worth paying the exchange rate. I haven't tried the new plus size versions of Seven for All Mankind Jeans that they sell, but I've heard great things...
Another great brand -- believe it or not -- are JLo jeans. I haven't found ANYONE in Vancouver that sells the plus-sized ones, but if you're bootylicious (and bodacious), they really are aces. I think you can get them from Nordstrom in the US.

To my Knowledge Lane Bryant sells Seven7 jeans (plus size version of the Seven7 jeans carried by Express), not Seven for All Mankind. Althought I wish SFAM or Citizens of Hummanity would make plus size jeans.
Any other recomendations?

Seven7 jeans are the, shall we say, "budget" equivalent of Seven for All Mankind Jeans. In other words, instead of being hundreds of dollars per pair, they usually only run about $80 (US).

I was just in Las Vegas last week with some friends (also bigger women) and we found the most fabulous store - Torrid. I bought a great pair of low rise denim short shorts. Yeah for a store that realizes we have great legs and want to show them off! Now, we'll have to find one closer to home ...

Wave to Ann, I love Torrid too ! I just wanted to let you know that they have a website www.torrid.com and they ship to Canada. I have ordered from them many times with great success ! Also, as far as jeans go, I'm waiting on an order from Baby Phat (www.babyphat.com) for 2 pairs of jeans. I am hoping that they will be cut "curvier" then most jeans. ie. bigger hips smaller waist. I will try to post and let you'all know if they are any good. I also really want to try the Seven7 jeans from Lane Bryant but they've only got 2 styles left on their website and I don't like either of them Kathy

I've talked to a(n albeit smaller size woman) about her jeans, since she was really curvy and had a big difference in size between her hips and her waist, and she said Eddie Bauer jeans were really good for recognizing this significant differential in curvy gals. worth a try.
