For those of you who've had the same frustrations as I've had finding boots to fit your calves, here are some options. For boots that don't fit but you have to have them anyway...Reno shoes on Broadway in Vancouver will put in a tidy elastic extension for around $60. If you've got some cash to spare, they also make custom boots for around $500.

I've had a lot of luck with boots that have both a zipper and lacing - they look just as sexy as the pull-on kind, but are much more forgiving to those with curves!

The other alternative is boots with stretchy tops that don't have zippers. Of course these don't always come in all the latest styles. There ought to be a law!

Silly boots.... I once bought leather boots from Aldo and the salesperson there had them stretched for me for free, which was pretty awesome. As long as the boot zips a certain amount up your calf... a lot of places can stretch the rest. I am also a big fan of that stretchy material that some boots are made of... wonderful stuff Just wanted to add that this forum is a -wonderful- idea!

A friend of mine who had gorgeous legs that dont even slightly resemble twigs....has the sexiest pair of high heeled boots ...when I asked her where she got them, here is her reply. "Model Express, it's a seedy little place on Hastings street, near gastown."
Havent had a chance to head down there ...but good luck all the same!

Best pair of boots I've ever bought!!!!!!!!.....Franco Sarto Flex stretch leather, knee high, black, medium heel (excellent for everyday) I'm not considered plus size but I do have curvy calves and couldn't find any boots that fit. I got them at the Bay downtown at the end of season sale in March for half price (I think the original price was about $150.00) Even my petite friends bought them cause they couldn't find boots that fit either!
I asked the sales clerk if this was a style that would be coming back and she thinks it will in the fall. Here's hoping!!!!!!!

Hi P Sorry I can't find the exact name of the Franco Sarto boot that I have and I checked your link and couldn't find anything that looks similar. The heel on my boots is not a stilleto like on this site, but a two inch square heel. Maybe Franco Sarto has a home site to check? Hope you can find them! Laluv2
