A few months ago when I was searching desperately for a pair of plus sized yoga pants. I looked all over the INTERNET and on ever web site that I could think of that might carry them and could find nothing that was remotely what I was looking for. I also came to find out that a lot of other women were having the same problem that I was. Well I finally caved in and went into a Lulu Lemon store just to see what they had. Well to my utter shock and amazement I actually had a wonderful experience, the sales lady was very friendly and asked me if I had ever actually tried anything on in their store before. I said no because the largest size that I could find was a 12 and I am no where near a 12.
Well she then went on to explain that their sizes are not like a normal store and that the different types of pants (fabric, cut, style etc) all fit very differently and encouraged me to try a pair on. Boy am I glad that I did. I ended up with a black pair with a tie waste, small pockets and capri legs and they were the size 12 which I have to tell you made me (a size 20-22) feel pretty darned good. I could even have gone down a size I think, because they are fairly loose on me. They are the most comfortable pair of pants that I have ever owned, I could totally live in them, and although most girls with thighs that touch end up with the fabric on the thighs wearing out long before the pants do, these pants get a little bit rougher in the thigh area but don't seem to pill up and wear through like most work out clothing with cotton etc. They are the kind with the luon in them if anyone is interested. I am sorry to ramble so, I just want all the plus sized women out there who want fun stylish work out clothing to maybe give lululemon a try.
I know about the comment that the owner made but just because he is an uneducated lout about plus sized women doesn't mean we should all miss out. Or maybe take the time to go into his stores and educate the staff from the ground up....Thanks for letting me blab ;D
